Mr Max turned one! Shanna planned a breakfast party for him at their home. Tons of food, coffee, mimosas and details galore. Max was super adorable and full of smiles the whole morning. He loved digging into the pancakes and opening all his gifts. Check out his day!

Carter is 18 months already ... time goes by way too fast! This little guy is way cute and smart (he can already say the whole alphabet). My favorite is when he says,"HEY!" and then gives you a big smile. We went downtown to the library and made some noise ... don't worry, we left before they had the chance to kick us out :)

And last ... my favorite!

Arabesque and extension are a couple terms I learned during this shoot over the weekend along with "point that toe!" We had such a great time walking around downtown grabbing unique photos of these ballet dancers. Here are just a few favorites from the shoot. Jason and Sarah invited me to their home to take some newborn photos of little Kate. We used her nursery and some of her favorite blankets to grab some precious photos. She wasn't thrilled to be unwrapped from her blanket—she definitely loved to snuggle—but we managed to sneak some shots as she slept. Check out how adorable she is...

I met up with another group of girls this weekend for some fun boudoir sessions just in time for Valentine's Day. We had makeup, hair, drinks and of course a little camera time.

Here is just one small sneak peek of Monica. She definitely knew how to work that camera and I think her photos rocked. I'll be posting more this coming week of the other girls. Get ready to be wowed!

Ashley and Brian are expecting their baby girl in April. We met up in the freezing cold to document their anticipation of her arrival. We walked around Drury campus as well as a beautiful field and were able to catch some amazing light. Ashley and Brian were super adorable together and I had a blast getting to know them. Congrats as they become new parents :)

Jessica and Kyle hired me to capture their wedding in 2010. On top of a moving ceremony and being great to work with...they also knew how to how to have some fun (like jumping on the bed at the hotel, for pictures :)

Then, a year past their wedding they contacted me again, and woo-hoo, a baby was on the way. So what'd we do? Well, celebrated with pictures, of course, and made a big announcement! And while we were working on the birth announcement, it was also then that we talked about a birth documentary and the more-than-likely possibility that Kyle would be overseas in Iraq during the birth of their baby.

Cue the sick stomach, am I right??

So, fast forward a bit of time later, and I'm prepping for a holiday birth shoot while Jessica is prepping for...well...a baby. And wouldn't you know it, I got a call to do some full-tilt maternity photos with Jessica.....

......and Kyle.

He made it back before their baby was born and more than pleasantly suprised Jessica. Well, December 21, a whole group of Weavers and Daughertys show up at the hosptial to meet a new baby. After a long night...and long day...of labor, Kyle and Jessica, with tears in their eyes, got to meet little Kylee Brooke.
