Welcome to my new site for Sarah Carter Photography!
My name is Sarah Carter. I am married to the most wonderful, caring and techy geek named Joel. We live in Springfield, Missouri with our quickly growing daredevil boy, Josiah and our neighborhood-watchdog, Chick. I love being a stay at home mom and wouldn't trade it for the world.
I’m close with my family but my friends are a very close second. Even-though I have always loved watching movies, I have Joel to thank for my ever widening taste. Cooking is becoming something I love to do especially now that it’s necessary. And I love driving slow at night to look in our neighbor’s windows. I know that makes me weird but how else do you really know who you’re living next to if you don’t know what they’re watching and how they decorate? I can paint an entire room three times before breakfast even though Joel says I always miss the details. Like my mother, there are a few words that I can’t say straight now matter how many times I try. Oh, and Joel loves it when I say, “sweet sassy!”
Photography started with the birth of my baby boy (a few years ago now) when I began to document the wonderful early stages of his life. Moments that even a few years later feel like they've disappeared... except for the photos. I love to capture those little moments and that raw emotion they contain. A few years later, I'm still here and loving every moment!
